MP1

The Gulmay MP-1 is a 19” rack-mounted microprocessor based controller. Incorporating many advanced features that provide flexibility and ease of operation.

The unique design enables the MP-1 to integrate across the full range of Gulmay generators and over 110 different X-Ray tubes from all of the worlds leading manufacturers.

Constant monitoring of interlocks and generator status offers a high degree of safety and reliability.

Large bright LED displays provide clear indication of KV, mA, Time and system status in both light and dark operating environments and a rugged front panel design is built to withstand the harshest industrial environments.

Gulmay Logging Client software may be used to extract data from the MP1.  This data includes records of system error messages, system activity, warm-up activity and in addition stores up to eight graphs of mA and KV over a ten second period prior to an error. The log files may be saved, viewed or then emailed to a service centre.

The control is capable of eight operating modes:

  • RS232 Controlled Radiographic

Five warm-up types are selectable:

  • Default warm ups specified by tube manufacturer
  • Linear warm up with normal ramp down
  • Exponential warm up with normal ramp down
  • Linear warm up with ceramic tube ramp down
  • Exponential warm up with ceramic tube ramp down

VMP1

The Virtual MP1 is the latest addition to the range of generator controllers and is designed for operation with RS232 controlled generators. A Windows® based application with graphical user interface, the virtual MP1 is supplied complete with a single user licence for simple installation on any PC.

The VMP1 allows users to define operating parameters for radiographic exposure such as the tube KV settings, mA settings and exposure duration.

Fluoroscopic inspection can be accomplished in constant source mode and production mode applications can be simply achieved using preset exposure information so that the same exposure conditions may be easily repeated.

Over 110 x-ray tubes are accessible from a drop-down menu and the built in Auto Watt feature safely limits power and current for total tube protection.
